Our Story,7 years ago, my water was breaking and I had no idea. Nothing had gone wrong with our pregnancy, I had done everything right that I was supposed to. According to doctors, this happens sometimes and they have no reason why.
After having my daughter the next day, Blanchard Valley Hospital tried to care for her needs but she was too much for them. We had to be transferred to Nationwide hospital an hour and a half from home. When the ambulance came to get her (they were going to life flight her but there was a chance of rain), we went home, unpacked and re packed for a stay we had zero idea how long we would be gone. We had no idea where we would stay.
After getting back to our daughter that day, we were told to apply to the Ronald McDonald House. I still had no idea what it was about or if they had a room for us, or how long we would be there. I was only worried about Maddie. We got approved (they do back ground checks) so we got over there at midnight finally.
They provided us a room just like a hotel, there was breakfast, lunch and dinner. I would go a whole day without eating never wanting to leave my daughter's side. They provided a sense of home and security. I don't know what we would have done without them. Our stay was just under 4 weeks in the hospital.
